FairSplit ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Key principle: FairSplit is designed for privacy-first, anonymous use. We do not intentionally collect or store personal data within the calculator inputs and do not require users to provide identifying information to use the Service.
However, limited technical and transactional data (such as IP addresses, device information, and payment confirmations) may be processed by our infrastructure and payment providers in order to operate the Service securely and effectively. This data is not used to identify individual users or linked to calculator inputs.
We also use privacy-conscious analytics tools (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to improve usability. All sensitive calculator inputs are masked.
FairSplit Ltd (Company No. 16837723, registered in England and Wales) is the data controller for any data processed through this site.
Contact details are provided in Section 12.
We do not intentionally collect or store the following types of personal data within the Service:
During use, you may input pension-related financial figures (e.g. cash equivalent values, ages, retirement dates). This data:

Card and billing details are processed directly by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant provider.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for anonymised, aggregated website usage data. This includes:
We use Microsoft Clarity to help understand user behaviour on our website, such as which pages users visit and how they interact with elements on the screen.
Clarity collects:

Used for behavioural analytics, heatmaps, and anonymised session replay. FairSplit enables automatic data masking, ensuring that sensitive information (e.g. pension values, ages, dates of birth, names) is not visible in any recording.
Clarity does not allow us to identify individual users. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement for more details.
Infrastructure logs may temporarily capture IP addresses for technical and security reasons. These are not linked to any user profile and are periodically deleted.
These providers may process limited personal data (such as IP address or device identifiers) strictly for the purposes of service delivery, security, and payment processing. Each provider operates as an independent data controller in respect of such data.
No personal data is shared for commercial, advertising or profiling purposes.
Our service providers may process data in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or other jurisdictions in accordance with their own data processing terms and applicable data protection laws.
FairSplit Ltd generally acts as a data controller in respect of limited technical and transactional data required to operate the Service.
FairSplit does not intend to act as a processor of client personal data, as the Service is designed to operate without the collection or storage of identifiable personal information.
To the extent that personal data is incidentally processed (for example, via infrastructure logs or payment processing), such processing is limited, proportionate, and not used for any purpose beyond service delivery, security, and legal compliance.
You have the right to:

Despite this, no digital system is 100% secure. We continuously monitor and reduce risk but cannot guarantee complete immunity from threats.
Access to infrastructure and administrative systems is restricted to authorised personnel only. We follow a principle of least privilege and maintain appropriate access controls.
The Service is designed to minimise data risk by avoiding server-side storage of user inputs. We do not maintain user accounts or persistent user profiles.
We maintain an ongoing process of monitoring, dependency updates, and security patching appropriate to the scale and nature of the Service.
